Version One Announces Partnership Agreement with Sapphire

Version One has announced a partnership agreement with Sapphire Systems, a global provider of financial accounting, ERP and business management systems.

Under the terms of this global agreement, Sapphire is re-selling Version One's document management and imaging solutions, tightly integrated into Infor10 Financials Business (SunSystems) and SAP Business One.

SAP Purchase Ariba for $4.3bn

In the largest enterprise software deal since HP's purchase of Autonomy Corp last year, SAP has agreed to buy Ariba for $4.3bn, as reported in Bloomberg this morning. Ariba's known as a leader in cloud-based commerce and the purchase demonstrates SAP's intention to scoop up the demand for the relatively new technology.

Fraudsters are targeting struggling small business

Small businesses have been advised to take measures to avoid fraudster's attempts to defraud them of thousands of pounds. Fraudsters are increasingly impersonating well known high street brands with paperwork which looks correct, to order goods from suppliers.

According to Kieron Franks, risk underwriting manager for Euler Hermes UK, suspected frauds based on a false trading relationship rose by 45% last year compared with 2010. An estimated £5m of this type of fraud has already been identified so far this year.  Read more.

Government Eases Supplier Pressure

The Cabinet Office has announced that the latest version of the Government's CloudStore has gone live today. With claims that this version has better searching and comparisson services, The Cabinet Office says the aim is to make the service better for suppliers who will be paid more quickly and more easily.
