Civica has been selected by Staffordshire County Council to provide a new financial management system for the shared finance service, operated by Cannock Chase District Council and Stafford Borough Council.
The new system, which provides fully integrated software for the full range of financial management and accounting, will support improved efficiency via enhanced planning and management and increased self-service. It will help save time and eliminate duplicated effort, including capturing data from a variety of sources and identifying issues and trends to help employees prioritise work.
Lorraine Smith, Divisional Managing Director, Local Government at Civica said: “Under growing financial and service pressures, local authorities are increasingly looking to shared service arrangements to build resilience and drive efficiencies. We are delighted to be supporting the two partner councils to harness the combined benefits of improved financial automation and cloud flexibility.”
The current pandemic has also accelerated the adoption of cloud software for many public service organisations. Combining strong sector knowledge and proven expertise, Civica is helping more than 3,500 customers make every day better with cloud.
The two councils, which already use Civica’s OPENRevenues platform for local government revenues and benefits, will adopt the company’s FinancialsLIVE cloud enabled software.
